Abstract

This article reviews several paradigmatic perspectives and principles that provided the framework to build the waste management agenda in Argentina. It is analysed the impact of the external environmental agenda on the construction of public policies. The text places special emphasis on new concepts and principles that innovated the last sequence of laws: circular economy, zero waste, extended producer responsibility (EPR). Moreover, The concept of integrality in waste management is problematized and the main challenges are identified to conceive a new integrality.
